Privacy notice

Short version: the only personal data we take from visitors is the email address and ZIP codes you type into the sign-up form, plus ordinary Google Analytics traffic measurement. We do not sell it. Separately, the product republishes Florida public records about property owners; that part is explained in section 3, including how to be removed.

1. What we collect from you as a visitor

• The sign-up form. When you ask for the weekly owner report you give us an email address and the ZIP codes or area you want. The form is relayed by Web3Forms (a form-to-email processor acting on our behalf) to our email inbox, where it is kept with a working list of subscribers and areas. We use it to send the weekly report, to correspond with you about it, and to hold your area under the one-business-per-area rule. It is not sold, rented or shared for anyone else's marketing.
• Email you send us. Kept in the inbox like any correspondence.
• Analytics. The site uses Google Analytics 4 (property G-6JF51GM702), which sets first-party cookies and records pages viewed, approximate location from your IP address, device and referrer. Google's description of what it collects on partner sites is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. To opt out, use Google's browser add-on or block the googletagmanager.com script. We never send your email address or ZIPs to Google; the form only reports that a sign-up happened.
• Third-party assets. The home page loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap and map scripts from cdnjs.cloudflare.com; a few pages load fonts from Google Fonts. Those providers see your IP address when the asset loads, as any web server does. The site is served by Cloudflare Pages, which keeps ordinary server logs.
• What we do not collect from visitors: no names unless you type one, no phone numbers, no payment details on the site (invoices are handled by email), no property or owner information about you, no advertising trackers.

2. Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your sign-up details while you are a subscriber or an open enquiry. Email [email protected] and we delete your details and stop all email; we answer within 30 days, usually the same day. Every report email says how to stop it: reply with the word stop. We only email people who asked for the report.

3. The public records in the product

PermitRadar republishes Florida public records. The permit fields come from Lee County Community Development's weekly "Building Permits Issued" reports (leegov.com/dcd/rpts); the owner fields come from the Lee County Property Appraiser's published parcel file (leepa.org). Both are public records under Florida Statutes Chapter 119, which makes county records open to any person for any purpose.

• The paid weekly owner report reproduces, for each permit, the owner of record's name and mailing address exactly as the county publishes them, together with the site address, permit type, declared value, contractor, homestead status and last sale. Names and mailing addresses only. No phone numbers, no email addresses, nothing bought from a data broker, nothing inferred or estimated.
• The free public pages under /permits/ show no owner names and no mailing addresses. The sample report page shows a small excerpt of the paid report with the owner's mailing address reduced to city and state.
• We are not the source of these records and cannot change them. A correction to a permit or a parcel record has to go to the county office that holds it.
• Removal. If you are an owner of record and do not want your record included in future reports, or you are covered by a public-records exemption such as Florida Statute 119.071(4)(d), email [email protected] with the property address. You are suppressed from every future build within one business day, and subscribers are asked to honour the removal. We never fill a suppressed record from a second source.
• Subscribers are told in the terms that mail and door-knocking are their own responsibility and that calling or texting owners brings Florida Statute 501.059, the federal TCPA and the do-not-call registries into play; supplying no phone numbers is a deliberate design decision.

4. Other things people ask

• We do not sell personal information in the sense used by state privacy laws, and we hold no data about visitors beyond what is listed in section 1. If a law where you live gives you a right to access or delete your data, email us and we will comply.
• The site is for businesses and adults; we do not knowingly collect anything from children.
• This notice changes only by editing this page and updating the date at the top.
